Technology refers to the techniques that humans use to combine their raw materials, skills and other resources to produce products or to solve problems and satisfy needs. It may also refer to a particular branch of science such as medicine or space technology, or it can describe a general state of humanity’s knowledge and tools available for any discipline.
Every engineering design operates within constraints: economic (only so much money is available), social, ecological and ethical (disadvantages to some people, risk to future generations). A technological goal must bring the world closer to how one wishes it to be, not just calculate the efficiency of different means of achieving that end.
In education, technology makes lessons fun for students and improves the quality of teaching. For example, the use of tablets, laptops and VR/AR devices make it easy for teachers to keep students’ attention in class and help them understand difficult topics. It also enables teachers to communicate with students one-on-one and answer their questions.
Another advantage of using technology in schools is that it saves time by automating tasks that humans are unable to do. For instance, some of our homework can be done by robots which helps free up our time to do other activities such as playing sports. The internet is an excellent communication technology that allows us to interact with people around the world in real-time. It is also the best way to research a topic and find the right information for an academic paper.
